We are the #GoogleChampions

More than 170 million students and educators worldwide rely on Google Suite tools.  Recently I had the opportunity to attend the 1st ever Google Champions Symposium in Sunnyvale, California.  This is one of 7 global Champions for Education events open to Google Certified Innovators, Coaches, and Trainers.  There were 133 amazing Champions and 40 Googlers in attendance visioning and  working towards the Future of Education.  There are 8,500 Google Champions worldwide with the measured power of over 40 million education advocacy moments just in the last year. 

Prior to attending, Google shared 3 research based trend forecast reports on the Future of Education.  Three key trends driving the shift in education are #1 Making Learning Personal, #2, reimagining learning design, and #3 elevating the teacher. During the the 3 days we shared insight, created vision, and provided recommendations for education’s future.  We were challenged to take everything that was invested in us over the 3 days and invest it in others. 

Everything I witnessed and participated in confirms the importance of our work through Ohio's Personalized Learning Network for the thousands of educators we supporting in transitioning to a learner centered future.  As an educator, it helps to know you’re not on an island and working in isolation and I was so inspired by all of our discussions around personalized learning, I thought I’d share a few from the Symposium for you to see how your work in our explore, launch, and transform pathways is truly aligned with the future of education!
